Pupil Premium Primer

Welcome to the Pupil Premium Primer. This website is designed to help you examine, evaluate and improve your school’s approach to the Pupil Premium. It is based on recent research, funded by the Social Mobility Commission, which explored how some schools are implementing, with varying success, a multitude of initiatives to support pupil premium students.

You can use this site to determine what ‘type’ of school you are and learn about the experiences of similar schools. It is intended to help you reflect on your context, your staff culture and, perhaps most importantly, the experiences of your students.
